|Bill Title:||Relating to a severance tax on the harvest of timber; prescribing an effective date; providing for revenue raising that requires approval by a three-fifths majority.|
Imposes severance tax on harvest of timber from forestlands in Oregon to fund income tax credit for milling of logs in Oregon, income tax credit for production or collection of biomass, fire suppression, watershed enhancement programs and woodstove certification program, and for distribution to counties.
Applies to tax years beginning on or after January 1, 2016. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
