|At the request of:|
|Bill Title:||Relating to residency thresholds for businesses performing emergency services; and prescribing an effective date.|
Provides that disaster or emergency related work conducted by out-of-state business may not be used as sole basis for determination that business is doing business in state, or that employee has residency or domicile in state.
Provides exemptions from obligations including registration with Secretary of State and filing and payment of taxes. Requires registered business that requests services of out-of-state business to submit statement to Oregon Department of Administrative Services. Directs department to provide information obtained from registered business to state agency upon request. Applies to disaster response periods beginning on or after effective date of Act. Takes effect on 91st day following adjournment sine die.
