Bill Title: Relating to weapons on school grounds; declaring an emergency.
Catchline/Summary: Modifies crime applicable to possession of firearm, or instrument used as dangerous weapon, while in or on school grounds.
<i>Requires</i>]<b> Authorizes</b> entity controlling school grounds to adopt written policy <i>before</i>]<b> restricting or prohibiting</b> concealed handgun licensees <i>may assert affirmative defense to crime</i>]<b> from possessing firearms on school grounds. Specifies limitation on policy. Provides that violation of policy restricting or prohibiting firearms by concealed handgun licensee is criminal trespass in the first degree, punishable by maximum of one year's imprisonment, $6,250 fine, or both</b>. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
